About Zara

Trailside’s Tzar of Fairlington MH THDN DJ CGCA TKN UT1

As might be expected, Zara’s favorite thing to do is hunt birds. She also loves people, toys, eating, and being outside. Zara was a certified therapy dog through the Alliance of Therapy Dogs for four years. She earned a NAVHDA Utility Test Prize 1 and a Master Hunter title in 2021. I ran her in AKC field trials last winter and we trained for the NAVHDA Invitational over the summer.

She has been a pleasure to train as she is very food-motivated and eager to please. Her name means “princess” in Arabic and it has turned out to be very fitting.

About Colombo

Adriatic’s King Colombo of North Ridge BCAT CGC TKN

Colombo is a five-year-old Rhodesian ridgeback. He loves to sunbathe, play with other dogs, and go on walks. Colombo is working toward his conformation championship and currently has ten points (including one major). He loves lure coursing and I would also like to try scentwork or barn hunt with him. He completed the 12-mile Endurance Trial run at the Rhodesian Ridgeback National Specialty in October 2019.

His name comes from Colombo, Sri Lanka, which is the city where my husband, Chris, was born. He is much calmer and lazier than Zara.

About Terry Ann

Before Chris and I got Zara, I didn’t even want a dog. Now, doing activities with them has become my favorite thing. When not being a dog mom, I am a graphic designer, pet portrait artist, and adjunct professor. I have my own art/design business, On Point Design.

I enjoy being active and training for running races. I have always been an animal lover. Until we got a dog when I was ten, my sister and I had a range of common and uncommon pets including goldfish, hermit crabs, toads, a crayfish, and a whole slew of gerbils. In fact, I wanted to be a vet until I was in high school.
