Chris and I took Zara hiking on Saturday morning with two of his coworkers and another one of our friends. A lot of the foliage is down now and the path was covered with crunchy leaves. It was pretty chilly too – in the mid-40s but nice weather for hiking. We walked the trail that runs along the Potomac River. I had borrowed our work camera for the weekend and brought it along on the hike to take some photos. Unfortunately, I am not very skilled in taking photos of fast-moving Zara yet, so a lot of my shots were out of focus. Some of them turned out though. I’ll have to keep practicing.

It is always fun to watch Zara leaping over logs and running around. She loves being in the forest. She will run ahead of us and then come bounding back like a rabbit, as if to say, “This is so fun! Hurry up, let’s go!”

Zara wasn’t a big fan of the photo shoot in the woods thing
